First they said 'we will educate your children', and I did not speak out--
   because I wanted them to learn;
Then they said 'we will vaccinate your children', and I did not speak out--
   because I did not want them to get sick;
Then they said 'we will feed your children', and I did not speak out--
   because I wanted them to eat well;
Then they said 'we will house your children', and I did not speak out--
   because I wanted a roof over their heads;
Then they said 'we love your children', and I did not speak out--
   because I wanted them to be loved;
Then they said 'you do not have any children - they are ours'--
   And they were right.
